Test Principle:EU (5-ethynyl-uridine) is a novel uridine analogue that can replace uridine and be incorporated into newly synthesized RNA. Detection is based on a copper-catalyzed click reaction between the alkyne group on EU and a small azide molecule labeled with fluorescent probe, such as Azide Alexa Fluor 488, Azide Alexa Fluor 555, Azide Alexa Fluor 594, and Azide Alexa Fluor 647. Through this fast and specific click reaction, the newly synthesized RNA is fluorescently labeled and can be detected using an appropriate fluorescence detection instrument.
