Test Principle:The Myco-Lumi assay exploits the activity of specific mycoplasmal enzymes which react with Myco-Lumi substrate to convert ADP to ATP. The ATP content in samples is determined by transfering ATP into a luminescent signal via the luciferase activity contained in Myco-Lumi reagent. By measuring the level of ATP in a sample both before (reading A) and after the addition of Myco-Lumi Reagent B (reading B), a ratio can be obtained which indicates whether the sample is contaminated with mycoplasma.
